Emergency First Aid at Work (1-Day HSE Approved)
Emergency First Aid at Work is a new 1-day course which was introduced by the HSE in October 2009. This course can only be offered by HSE approved training organisations, which serves to reassure you that the standard of training is adequate. At Ashgrove Health, we pride ourselves on the very high standard of our instructors.

The course content is dictated by the HSE. Our courses exceed this minimum and include:
- the role of the first aider
- handling an emergency safely
- basic life support including cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- dealing with wounds or bleeding
- dealing with seizures and choking
- provision of appropriate first aid for minor injuries
- Introductory training with the automated defibrillator (AED)(time permitting)
All our first aid courses are taught by experienced, top class instructors who rely on high quality training aids, realistic casualty simulation and scenarios drawn from real-life, making the experience memorable and fun. We also provide regular updates for all our students to help keep the first aid training fresh in their minds.
The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification lasts for 3 years.
